I designed this programme from my own heart, soul, and lived experience.

As a solo mama of three at the age of 36, I have navigated many things already and it is these things that have continued to bring me back, again and again, to the knowing that my wellbeing is my greatest asset.

After losing my brother to suicide in 2020, losing a precious loved one in a sudden car accident, surviving the tsunami in Samoa in 2009, escaping an incident of attempted sexual violence at 19, fighting through the court system for justice and then again for sole custody of my children, navigating a mother wound, learning how to break intergenerational trauma after being raised amongst it as a child, learning about Bipolar/Schizophrenia and how mental illness claimed my little one’s papa, juggling all my babies rurally on a low income, all whilst studying, building my career and nurturing my children. It has been no easy feat in becoming the Woman I am today.

I know what it feels like to live with adversity. To feel isolated. To dissociate from reality. To not feel white enough to be white, and not brown enough to be brown either. To carry the stories that you're not worthy enough to be loved, or safe enough to be vulnerable.

One day, through my own grief, I began asking myself,

"Is that really the truth? Is this really who I am? When did I begin to feel this way? Because I remember being young, free and empowered."

It wasn't until all the hard things happened in my life that I really began to deepen into my medicine. Through reclaiming my own power, I was honouring the truth of who I really am. I came to understand that many of the wounds I was carrying weren't all mine to hold. Most of them had been there long before I came into form.

So healing became my responsibility.

Why?

Because I was aware.

And awareness brings choice.

The silver lining in honouring my own journey has been in understanding and connecting with others. By honouring my own heart, voice, and story, I began to give others permission to speak theirs too.

It was grief that pushed me through to the other side. It woke me up and forced me to let go. Of the story. Of the attachment to pain. Of the identity I had created around sorrow, heartache, disappointment, and feeling like I had somehow taken a wrong turn in life.

For many years, I was drowning in loud thoughts. I wanted to give up and didn't know how to keep going.

Until I realised it wasn't happening to destroy me.

It was happening to crack me open.

To stop hiding my truth and start embracing it.

To surrender.

To stop fighting.

And to let life bury me in the mud, the muck, and the fertile soil where the lotus flower blooms.

This became my mantra:

If a lotus can bloom from the mud, then so could I.

I began to realise that change only hurts when we struggle to hold on to what we know.

And also, that I am a child of my ancestors. A seed of their song.

It it their love and support that has strengthened me through and through.

Through my connection to the Taiao, I discovered my medicine.

I began to realise that it was a gift to be given an opportunity to understand.

Te Kore is a healing place. A neutral place. A safe space.
Of the purest love and depth. Of nothingness. And everything too. It is the beginning of potentiality, where all wisdom comes from.

First from a tiny speck of light, then it becomes understanding.

To truly understand, we must be initiated into the womb of creation itself.

This is Te Kore.

The beginning and the end.

After spending enough time in the darkness, I slowly began to understand why I was there.

With that came layers of understanding. More light + an ability to navigate.

Which was the purpose of it all.

I began to rise, bringing the medicine back not only for myself, but for my children, my loved ones, and my community.

I simply began to change the way I saw things. I chose to navigate as though every experience had been sent to awaken me. To initiate me. To help me face, acknowledge, heal, overcome, and choose differently.

Rather than getting stuck in the story, I realised it wasn't just about me. It was about the little eyes looking up at me. I realised that maybe every generation before me was doing the best they could with what they knew, and that perhaps it was my turn to break the cycles they weren't able to.

Every painful experience became an opportunity.

Every obstacle became an invitation.

Every lesson and every b'lesson became medicine.

They say Pain becomes your Power. Mine became my Superpower.

Yes You Can was born from my own story,

From my truth.

From hope.

From tragedy.

From deep love.

And from faith in something much greater than myself.

I created this programme for real Women doing hard things.

Women carving pathways they never thought they could.

Women who are ready to reclaim themselves and step into their next chapter.

Women who are ready to own their shit, stay open, and commit to what life is asking of them.

Because all the keys you will ever need are already within you.

Sometimes you just need loving support.

A safe space to be held.

Accountability.

And the courage to get brave as f*** and move out of your own way.

Yes You Can is a remembering.

A returning home to self.

To wholeness.

To honouring the deepest part of you.

Your journey.

Your story.

And where you are right now.

It is a reclamation of your life force, your heartbeat, your voice, and your choices.

It is an invitation into your next chapter while honouring and integrating all that has brought you here.
